Arts and cultures in Madagascar
People civilization might be recognized by their and cultures
manifestations. During several
centuries, people around the world try to find out a way of behaving together.
They studied one another’s history and civilization through years. Historical
period and carbon datations are set to different artifacts discovered everywhere
(Great Wall of China, Pyramids of Egypt, rest of Incas Civilizations in
Amazonian Forest, Vazimba Sites in Alasora …)
Arts through many centuries witness
the evolution of that different civilization. From antical Maya to the very actual
Europeans nowadays; from generation to generations, Archeology, Anthropology and
Museums kept to conserve memories, by Arts and Cultures and we have a lot of
examples like Manjakamiadana Palace in Antananarivo, Madagascar or The Louvre
and Versailles Castles, in Paris, France. Each government of each country make
very expensive researches, to prove the
real value of each civilization ; but the most interesting thing is looking for beauty of artistically
production, and meeting some of those artists if possible.
Cultural specificity of Malagasy People: The ancestor adoration
There is also a great Malagasy cultural fact I want to share : The concept of "Fihavanana".Me, Malagasy Citizen, simple actor and no less
witness of a unique phenomenon to the world is going to talk to you about the" Fihavanana ", educational miracle and value descended of the only people of Madagascar. The proximity
that reigns within the Malagasy society has its good side, in the name of the
Fihavanana, sacred concept multi centenary of this society multifaceted. Yet so often the peoples praised the merit of
this conception from all over the world, to live the notion of Fihavanana
requires a lot more courage than the simple fact to talk about it. Indeed, « Havana »
in Malagasy passes the border of family's simple tie brought by the tie of
blood. "Havana" passes the border of the simple or deep friendship.
Personally, I can bring you the report that me, my notion of Havana" is
indeed something sacred, of immeasurable, of irreplaceable and of inestimable.
When I say" Havako anao ", you can be sure that I will be there for you,
in moment of need and I am certain that you won't drop me when I will need a
shoulder on which to lean. Present in joy, present in the difficult moments,
the "Havana" for me, it is this faithful friend who knows the size of
my worry in advance without I tell him the details of that that what is happening to me. The "Havana" for me
passes the notion of skin color, of intellectual level, of religious
confession, of sexual affinity, of fortune, of strength, of beauty, of way of thinking…
Or of everything that could be considered as differences. The acceptance of the
difference, tolerance, the understanding, the concession, the adaptation, the
love, the friendship, compassion, the exemption, the forgiveness, the help and
all others strong feelings without hate, there is the" Malagasy Fihavanana
", at a time cultural value and civilization wealth.
True heritage of the humanity, the Fihavanana in which I lived and of
which I was a witness made me the man that I am actually. It is not always easy
to keep in head all of it when come the moments of angers, of pains, but it is
a gate that helps a good Malagasy to optimize the part of humanity that is in
him. I trust to share this value
therefore and to make as much that possible, of all human having worry of his
neighbor, my" Havana ".
Sharing foods , one of "Fihavanana ", Malagasy Culture Manifestation
